Life coaching with Shamica

Life coaching for the in-between seasons.

For when you know something has to change but can’t quite name it yet. Coaching gives you room to get honest about what you want, see your patterns clearly, and follow through on the next right step.

The philosophy

Coaching isn’t me telling you what to do.

You already know more than you think. What most of us are missing isn’t information. It’s space to think clearly, someone to ask the questions we’ve been avoiding, and support to follow through once we decide.

That’s what coaching with Shamica looks like: honest, warm and practical. We look at your life as it really is: your attractions and your history, your capacity and your timing, what you want and what you’re afraid of. Then we build a plan that fits you, not a template.

Who coaching is for

You might be here because…

  • You’re at a crossroads and keep going back and forth
  • Your life looks fine on paper but doesn’t feel like yours
  • You keep repeating the same relationship patterns
  • You struggle to say no, and resent always saying yes
  • A season just ended and you’re figuring out who you are now
  • You have goals, and a long history of not following through

What we can work on

Ten places to start.

Most people come in with one of these and discover it’s connected to two or three others. That’s normal, and it’s where the good work happens.

Personal growth

Get to know yourself on purpose: what you value, what you want, what you’re done tolerating.

Life transitions

Endings, moves, new jobs, empty nests. Steady footing for the in-between.

Confidence

Build self-trust through small, kept promises instead of waiting to feel ready.

Boundaries

Say what works for you, clearly and kindly, and keep saying it.

Accountability

Follow-through without shame: a plan, check-ins, and room to adjust.

Goal setting

Turn a vague “I want more” into goals you can actually see yourself reaching.

Communication

Have the hard conversation, with a partner, a parent or yourself.

Relationship clarity

Understand what you want, what you’re getting, and what you’ll choose.

Self-discovery

Notice your patterns before they make decisions for you.

Rediscovering yourself

After a hard season (heartbreak, caregiving, burnout), come back to you.

How it works

Simple, honest and yours.

In their words

What clients say

Coaching is not therapy. Shamica is a life coach, not a therapist or licensed mental-health professional. Coaching focuses on the present and the future: clarity, goals and follow-through. It isn’t a substitute for therapy, medical care or legal advice. If you’re working through trauma, a mental-health condition or a crisis, a licensed professional is the right first step, and coaching can sit alongside that care.

What is life coaching, exactly?

Life coaching is a partnership focused on where you are now and where you want to go. Together we get clear on what you want, notice what’s getting in the way, and build a plan you can keep, with support and accountability along the way.

How is coaching different from therapy?

Therapy is provided by licensed mental-health professionals and can diagnose and treat mental-health conditions, trauma and more. Coaching doesn’t do that. Coaching is present- and future-focused: clarity, decisions, goals and follow-through.

Many people see a therapist and a coach at the same time, and that’s a great combination. If you’re in crisis or working through trauma, please start with a licensed professional.

Who is coaching a good fit for?

People who feel stuck, stretched or at a crossroads, and who are ready to take an honest look and take action. You don’t need a perfectly defined goal. “Something needs to change” is a fine place to start.

Do we only talk about relationships?

No. Relationships come up a lot, because they’re woven into everything. But coaching covers your whole life: confidence, career transitions, boundaries with family, goals, identity and purpose.

Do you coach virtually?

Yes. Sessions can happen by video or phone, so you don’t need to be in Memphis to work together. Use the consultation form to share your preference.

What happens in the consultation?

It’s a conversation to talk through what’s going on, what you’re hoping for, and whether coaching with Shamica is the right fit. You’ll leave with clarity about next steps either way. Details on session formats and packages are shared there.

Is what I share kept private?

Yes. What you share in coaching stays between you and Shamica. Coaching isn’t covered by the same legal confidentiality rules as therapy, and Shamica will walk you through her privacy practices before you begin.
